Compagnie Interîles‘ passenger ferry Le Saint Sauveur is entering a major refit phase. This retrofit, a first for this type of vessel, aims to modernize its propulsion for a more efficient and environmentally-friendly solution.
🔹 Main stages of the project:
✅ Full hydroblasting of the hull with SETA to recover the bare aluminum.
✅ Boilermaking work by LECAMUS :
◾ Shortening of the vessel with cutting of the stern section
◾ Removal of current propulsion (Engines + Jets)
◾ Installation of a keel and bow thruster
◾ Reinforcement of transom to accommodate new motorization
✅ New propulsion with Baudouin engines and Hydro-Armor thrusters, more ecological and efficient
✅ Electrical and electronic systems updated by AIS ELEC, with a brand-new maneuvering system
📅 10 weeks of dry work, before regulatory testing and validation scheduled for June 2025.
