A Strong Maritime Expertise
Located within the Port’s secure Ship Repair and Construction Hub and strategically positioned on France’s Atlantic coast, Sea Pole La Rochelle is now established as an association. It brings together recognised expertise across a wide range of maritime projects, from refit and maintenance to custom shipbuilding.
A recent socio-economic study highlights the significant contribution of this ecosystem to the regional economy. The member companies generate a combined average annual turnover of €38.3 million, including €26.4 million from shipbuilding activities and €11.6 million from ship repair and yacht refit.
The study also underlines the sector’s impact on employment, with 258 full-time equivalent employees within the member companies and a total of 792 direct, indirect and induced jobs across the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.
Finally, the study highlights the sector’s national and international reach, as well as its contribution to the region’s economic development.
